I am inquiring from a midwestern family friendly hospital:
1. In light of NANN's recent statement (NANN "Cup and finger feeding of
breast milk #3017), that existing scientific data is insufficient to
either support or refute cup or finger feeding are hospitals stepping
back from cup feeding?
2. Do any Level III NICU's have specific policies/procedures addressing
medications in mother's milk? For example: testing, how it is labeled,
how presence of medication is communicated among entire team.
Please respond privately as well as to the list just so I don't miss an
idea. Thank you for your time.
