My family has also come to belive in cabbage for swollen body parts, from
dental extractions to basketball/football injuries. (Great idea to use
it on a lymph node!! Thanks, Adele!)
I find a leg from a pair of panty hose (with runs, of course!) is a great
way to attach the cabbage leaves to the affected body part. (Even
breasts, when mother doesn't/can't wear a bra, which makes this post
relevant to Lactnet.) Just gently tie the hose to hold the cabbage
around the swollen part. :-)
