You know, I got to thinking some more about this. My daughter had some
colic, projectile vomiting, and blood in stools for the first couple of
months of life. Someone told me to try eliminating dairy products (in any
and all forms--had to become an expert at reading a lot of labels and knowing
the dairy code words).
Dairy elimination worked like a dream for us. Colic and blood went away
after a few weeks, and vomiting greatly improved over time. To this day, she
cannot tolerate very much dairy at all. This may not be at all what this
baby is dealing with, but I thought I would throw it out there for a thought.
Weight gain issues in particular make me think this is not simply a case of
food allergies, but you never know.
