Aileen asked about resources for coping with SIDS a few days ago. I just
had to mention The Centering Corporation (http://www.centering.org/) which
has some wonderful books and pamphlets related to all types of grief and
loss. They have an entire section devoted to Infant Loss Resources,
including SIDS (as wells as miscarriage, stillbirth, molar pregnancy,
blighted ovum, ectopic pregnancy, etc). The Centering Corporation, a family
owned and operated business that is dedicated to serving the needs of those
healing from loss. I was sent some books from them after a miscarriage and
they were very helpful. I also ordered some books from them (children's
books and one for adults) following the death of a friend's husband in a car
accident. I gave some of the children's books to my son's grade school
since it was his kindergarten friend's dad who was killed. The teacher read
the books to the children.
I have no financial interest in this business.
