I have definitely talked and worked with women that got more milk by pumping
one side at a time. Going back and forth produced a larger quantity of milk
than double pumping for 15-30 minutes.
Some of the moms said that it was weird to double pump and they preferred to
single pump.
If a mom can compress around the breast as she is pumping she may also get
more milk. Many flanges do not compress the breast tissue well enough to get
milk. I know this makes many moms think they have very little to no milk.
