I wasn't saying that nursing a 6 yo is warped, I have friends who have
nursed their 6 yo s. I'm fine with that.  They nursed at home, for security,
for contact, for connection (probably as many have said-for little nutrition
:-)

I'm just saying that in the way that situation was presented, mom was out of
line.  It doesn't fit my ideas of child led weaning.  And I've also known
moms who were out of line for lots of other things and needed some gentle
help to recognize reality. I guess I've also been in that place myself :-)

I reiterate, that unfortunately the show was done for it's shock value, mom,
dad and cute kid were all exagerated, to the
 'n th degree.  Yes, it gives the wrong message to viewers of what
