First my introduction: I am a hospital-based RN, IBCLC in South Carolina. My working partner, Ann Calandro, some of you are familiar with. I have been a lurker for some time and greatly enjoy and appreciate all the info I continue to learn from all the wise ones on this list. I resit the exam next year.
I have a very dear childhood friend that is nursing a 2 1/2 year old boy named Neven (after may struggles with a beginning in the NICU). He refers to nursing as "mommy fooood". Or sometimes he just shortens it to "food please". Yesterday she called to share a 'Neven story' with me. It seems he was helping her take the clothes out of the dryer when he pulled out one of her bras. He held it up high and said to her, "This is the food hiders".
I laughed till I cried. Isn't that precious?
