I recently heard a co-worker say that oxytocin is released in the baby as a
response to sucking. (To put this in context, we were discussing the pro's
and con's of pacifier use!) I am well aware of the role of oxytocin in the
mother in regards to uterine contractions and MER, but I'd like more info on
oxytocin in the baby.
Can anyone help?
Debbie
