> Our diabetes care is quite advanced
>(we have the highest juvenile diabetes figures of the world).
I learned two new things today. I didn't know one
could be born with diabetes or acquire juvenile diabetes
as an infant. And I did not know that Finland has the
highest juvenile diabetes rate in the world.
Can someone educate me further on both these points.
What causes diabetes in children? Why are the rates
variable and why are they higher in Finland?
I don't want to get too far off the bf track, so
if it's most appropriate to do so, please answer off lactnet,
If others are interested too, and it's bf related on line
conversation is fine too.
Thanks,
Naomi Bar-Yam
