Hi Winnie!

I heard a special on the Network News and the Doctor speaking said the
National Average of Anthrax cases reported in the US during a typical year is
600.
At the time this report was done, it was still unclear if Mr. Stevens from
Florida had contracted Anthrax on a hunting trip. They had not yet been able
to incubate Anthrax from the sample of powder taken from his office.

I believe I saw this report on NBC. You could probably search their site and
find the transcripts....
