I got this off another of my lists, but it checks out. Essential oil of thyme is effective against anthrax baccilus
. however caution do not apply it "neat" (undiluted) as it can cause skin irritation. however it can be placed neat over wash cloths face masks.

To make this breastfeeding related, thyme has been know to reduce milk supply.

For those worried about cipro while breastfeeding. On a personal note, this is one of my/my doctor's two personal choices ( i am allergic to a lot of them anymore) and I have alway been allergic to Penicillin. my babies did not have a problem with it. I am glad i used this one anyway as two of my children are extremly allergic to penicillin and sulfa. However I also think that moms need to take precautions with any antibiotic as I see many of them postpartum with yeast infections

I agree look at Hales book, and as with anything check the benefit against the risk.

Thyme oil can be purchased thru many reputable herb shops and suppliers.
