To all who may have information,
My husband has recently been diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Hopefully, it has been detected early and can be surgically removed, then followed by radiation and chemo for a good prognosis.
I have contacted the North Carolina Milk Bank to inquire about using donor milk as a therapeutic measure for him. They are very kind and helpful.
My request is for references on the subject of clinical uses of mother's milk for adults. I am a little overwhelmed at the moment and not doing too well on searching, so I would appreciate some assistance. Also, he is not as keen on the idea and benefits as I am, so I also would like to know if anyone has experience with resistance by adults to consuming breastmilk.
I realize that this is a personal issue, and hope that it is not totally inappropriate for Lactnet.
Sincerely,
Patricia Ellis, Central NJ
