Sharon,
Just a couple of thoughts: could baby's fussiness at beast have more to do
with oversupply? maybe needs longer time on one breast. Sounds like a long
history of unresolved yeast overgrowth..I refer moms to Chris Hafer-Eaton's
article in Mothering, Mar 2000 (I think that's the date) and also a
nutritionist (I'm lucky to know one who's also an LC!), naturopath or the
like so diet can really be addressed, mom's probable "leaky gut" restored
with more than just yeast remedies. Pat Gima's Yeast treatment plan is also
excellant (online at breastfeedingonline.com) and emphasizes all possible
ways to cut down on yeast overgrowth.
But I always feel more secure referring to above mentioned practitioners
because this sever a case needs more than trial and error fixes.
