Hi Brenda,
I wouldn't imagine that HRT would be necessary after pregnancy. The
literature has many examples of women who are past menopause inducing
lactation for grandchildren etc. The important point appears to get the baby
at the breast and for the mother to have confidence in her ability to
produce the milk her child needs.
