A mother called me a couple of days ago that I had seen at a private
consultation. I was concerned that baby was not stooling like it should.
Baby was 2 weeks old. Weight gain was fine. Went through all management
suggestions, ie- let baby get hindmilk, etc.
She called to say that when she went off of milk products, the baby stooled
3x a day, and the minute she went back on, he stopped. She has no previous
milk allergy in the family. I had never heard of milk products preventing
stooling- Is this documented anywhere? Have I missed anything?
We learn every day,
