It might be interesting to get an accurate weight on the baby on Friday, and
put mom and baby to bed for a weekend nursing marathon, then weigh again on
Monday. If she saw a clear gain with more attentive nursing, it might give
her the incentive she needs to abandon the sugarless gum approach (pacifier)
and increase the nursings. It may be as simple as that.
