   I would look at Sue Ludington-Hoes' work...I recall stories she has
shared
at conferences that make it really clear that babies do recognize voices of
mother and dad.

   There is research showing recognition after birth of music, tase of the
amnoitic fuid has also been looked at... smell and taste are what draws the
infant to the breast.
