Hi Everyone,
A mother who has breastfed for 18 months went to the doctor for tablets so she could wean her baby (not my way). She was prescribed Cabergoline which she took as prescribed on Saturday and Sunday. She phoned me this evening saying that after 3 days she had severely engorged breasts. As I understand it Cabergoline effects are irreversable and should suppress lactation for at least 12 days. Can anyone help or explain this. Thanks.
Barbie Currie. IBCLC. White River, Mpumalanga, South Africa.
