Last August, my DH and I went to late Sunday breakfast at a coffee shop /
ice cream parlor. As we were leaving, there was a baby, approx 4-6 mos old,
getting rather cranky. Dad followed us out of the restaurant carrying his
cranky baby. He opened the trunk of his car where the diaper bag was
stored. Inside the diaper bag was a can of powdered ABM. While juggling
said cranky baby, he dipped powder out of the can, dumped it into an empty
nursing bottle and went inside.
1) Their car was new, in the $30,000 (U.S.$) & up category, so he or they,
have to be well employed. I'm maxing out my car budget at half that value.
2) August in Arizona is hot! At 10am it's usually 100F already. The powder
in the trunk of the car had to be well cooked by that time.
3) He didn't pull out bottled water, so I can only suppose they used tap
water from the restaurant. I wonder if they asked the restaurant staff to
heat the bottle for them.
4) The can instructions say to measure the water first, then add the
powder. Reversing this order changes the concentration.
