As far as I know, the Daktarin Gel is not the same strenth as the cream.
One of the biggest mistakes made here by doctors is that they just
prescribe the gel and tell both mom and baby to use it.  I have very rarely
seen it work on the mother.  She is usually frustrated and in terrible pain
by this point.  I always tell mother she needs to use the cream, and it
does not need to be wiped off.
Am I making a mistake?
