I posted a few weeks ago about an article in Reader's Digest concerning a
breastfeeding diabetic mother. I also posted my letter-to-the-editor which
I sent. I have heard from them and they are going to print my letter! They
paraphrased what I said and read it to me for my approval. I'm not sure,
yet, which edition it will be in, but I'll let you all know when I find out.
The lady I spoke with told me she knew there were benefits to breastfeeding,
but she hadn't heard that it was preventive of diabetes. She was surprised
and quite nice. Maybe they'll do a piece in the future on this issue.
