Good observation, Sanna-Mari!
I think it is closer to the pinch than the teacup. However, her babies are
not newborns and don't need the same 'perfect' presentation in order to
latch effectively.
My objection to the post partum pinch is that it is used at the very first
feeding, many times, and sometimes all subsequent ones, unless stopped by a
knowledgeable person in response to mother's soreness. Once mother and baby
are well into breastfeeding, it isn't so critical.
The sequence with the twins, if I remember correctly, shows them eagerly
opening their mouths, anticipating the breast. With newborns, the pinched
nipple is stuffed ineffectually into their mouths through barely parted
lips, which doesn't make matters better.
