By way of reintroduction, I am Katherine Abdun-Nur RN IBCLC, a hospital
based LC at the 21st US BabyFriendly Hospital. We are in Grants Pass,
Oregon. (smallish town, 80 bed facility, family-birth-center consisting of 7
LDRPS, 5 other beds and a 3 bed observation unit, 2 bed newborn observation
unit for mildly sick babes, no NICU)
I responded to the postings regarding formula advertising on the newborn
channel by emailing to the address given and discontinuing our relationship
with them. Not 10 minutes later, my nurse manager received a phone call
from their VP, concerned about losing our business. She assured them that
we cannot be marketing agents and will not participate in advertising
formula.....Hurrah!
Feeling supported in my work,
Katherine Abdun-Nur RN IBCLC
Grants Pass Oregon
