If this mom has to be on guard duty for 12-14 hrs, does she not get a breakto
go to the bathroom or for a meal break? I have found that sometimes it is
better not to say what she is doing, just do it. She can double pump on a 30
minute lunch break, even if she has to sit in a vehicle in the parking lot.
She can also then pump before work and after while the baby is nursing ( pump
on one side and nurse on the other). Elementary school teachers, high school
students etc, do not get during the day breaks and many of them have found
creative ways to find a private 15 minutes to pump at least once a day. I
have worked with some military moms who decided just not to talk about it and
just do it, quietly and without any fanfare. It's not worth the battle (
pardon the pun).
