Dear Melisa, I had to smile when I read your note re: classifications of
midwives.  Nursing has the same sort of confusing mess, you can be a 2 yr
RN, a 3 yr RN, a 4 yr RN( and all 3 take same licensure exam),  an RNC
(takes a cert exam in a specific area), an MSN, a CNS, a PNP, or APN and it
just goes on.  The only thing a consumer knows is that when they need a
