Doing a hemoglobin check is recommended at 9 to 12 months.
I dont find many anemic babies but since anemia is not a good think I think its worth screening. I check lead levels at the same time.
There are some parents who never go to the lab and I cant say I really harp about it. Have to prioritize wat I stress.
Have you tried plotting your baby on the new CDC growth charts? And as said breastfed babies will slow wt gain in the last half of the 1st year. Are mom and dad thin?
How is the babies head size?
