As an adjunct to my personal doubts about safety relating to BF and these drugs I have received this reply from another list:-
1.. Each of the drugs mentioned: Buspar, Zoloft, Nortriptyline, are OK with
breastfeeding individually, but the combination would be a problem. My
references indicate that Nortriptyline (any tricyclic) should NEVER be
combined with (or even given close to) SSRIs because of the risk of
serotonergic crisis in the patient (mother). Assuming the mother was on them
during the pregnancy, the infant would have gotten much larger (and more
ill-timed) doses through the placenta than the infant will receive during
breastfeeding. I would recommend mother get off either the SSRI or the TCA.
As you stated in the question that mum will not change her meds I suggest you ask her to get another opinion as the drugs are potentially dangerous in combination [I thought they were but wasn't sure enough to say so!].
Again I think if drugs are not changed then BF may be risky [although some damage may already have occurred].
