Thank you Rachel, for clarifying my post of this morning regarding the
treatment Andrea is getting in her workplace.
I might not have been clear. My apologies.
There is nothing that warrants that kind of behavior. The nurse has not a
leg to stand on in terms of name calling, and in terms of not following
evidence-based practice.
Andrea has a case that is solid, and should probably go to her superiors
and discuss this behavior. I also encourage her to read the chapter on
collegial dealings in Auerbach and Riordan's Breastfeeding and Human
Lactation,....there is a section there on swimming with the sharks...that
comes to mind.
