There is a mother who has a recurrence of thyroid cancer, and needs to
undergo radioactive treatment. She weaned 5 months ago, and called
yesterday quite upset, because she is still having some leaking of milk in
her bra. She knows the radioactive iodine will concentrate in lactating
tissue, and is very worried. I have done a search, and found a post
mentioning that it seems women who didn't really want to wean tend to have
leakage longer...which would certainly fit this case.
My question is, is there anything she can do to try and halt this little bit
of milk production completely? (I had told her about the suggested herbs
and cabbage when she weaned initially---would they be helpful with this
small amount?)

Thanks-
