I can vouch for the fact that the nurses at my hospital have the baby's chart
in front of them when they enter the data into the computer. They need to
know about circumcision, whether or not the first hepatitis shot was given,
did the baby pass his/her hearing screening, as well as feeding status. I'm
also confident that they enter exclusive breastfeeding or exclusive formula
feeding most of the time, although night bottles are the bane of my existence
here! No way, when you have 50+ different harried nurses entering the data,
are you going to get great accuracy! But as Chris says, it's a start.
