The mother Jessica is counseling remembers bruising her small output
breast when she was 12 years old.
This comment interests me because of a recent Medscape gastro article
regarding a young man who had been in an auto accident and the seatbelt
did trauma to his small intestine that resulted in intermittent small
bowel obstruction over 7 years time from adhesions that developed slowly
over the years.
Now I wonder how seat belt bruises of breasts in auto accidents may
affect future breastfeeding. As a driver, my daughter had a doozy of
a hematoma on her left breast (in additon to her abdomen) 4 years ago.
We'll know more when she has a baby and breastfeeds.
