Winnie and other Lactnetters,,
Can you tell a Midwife from Australia but in Pakistan.
What is in these Herbals mixes?
Trying to get Mothers to use 'non chemical' means to increase milk-
Doctors seem to believe 'in miracles' from Maxolon without stimulating the
breast by expressing.
We have Alfa(lucerne) in the fields but can't seem to get through the use of
this natural resource-As Tea!
Rather Have tried to get as many as possible starting within the first few
hours to suckle- not allowing Ma-in Laws to give 'Green tea or Honey to the
babies, but put them onto the breast.mIL always saying NO MILK- I'm saying
that there is and often have to express some to prove it to them. Mil will
them say IT's POISON- I've had to deal with this biddy by giving her a small
glass with 3mls or so for her and half the relations who hang around or are
with the other ladies in the ward to do a show and taste'round. While they
are away I usually have bub on the breast and suckling his fill!!!!!!
The ones I am sucessful with, have no problem but the ones I don't see for
2or 3 days, have no supply and no idea of attaching baby at the breast and
on reviewing the chart have been started on Maxolon from day 2 or day 3!!!
and it is hard to start a flow then as the stimulation is lacking and the
staff haven't encouraged BF from the beginning.
We have no supplies available of Blessed thistle or Fenegeek!
Any suggestions of other powder herbs?
Would appreciate any suggestions!
Take care, Robyn Aulmann RM

Subject: Milk supply in pregnancy

Motherlove Herbals, the company that makes More Milk and More Milk
Plus also makes a version for use in pregnancy. I think the name is
More Milk 2, but I'm not certain and I don't have any of their info
here at home. Note: I have no connection with this company other
than the fact that I do mention these products to moms working on
increasing their supply and refer them to local sources.
