Dear hordes of Lactnetters,
For a mother I know I am asking if anyone can direct me to info about clefts
in the larynx, or if anyone has experience with this. The child is not
quite 3 and breastfeeding; he has just undergone endoscopy to try to figure
out ongoing dysphagia (he does fine when nursing), amongst other things, and
the surgeon suspects a submucosal cleft in the larynx.
I'd like to have info so I know what we're dealing with if the MRI does show
a cleft... any implications for BF at this age? Especially if they have to
open his neck to correct the cleft?
Any resources where I could find more about this?
This concerned mother, and I, thank you. Please respond to the list, this
is unusual enough that everyone should get a chance to see it, and it will
then go into the archives.
