Hi Ruth. I'd look at thrush for this. There may be a relationship here.
This is mentioned in literature, as far as I know. If Kenacomb worked, to
keep it at bay, is there a chance of continuing that treatment?
Reducing animal fats also, might help to prevent chronic plugs. This may
be what some books term a "bleb." Kathleen
