Any allergen is carried by the protein of the substance. Corn has protein
just as does milk and wheat.

You say that the baby's allergies were "diagnosed." How was that done?
Most allergy tests are not reliable. Elimination diets are the best route
to discovering what one is allergic to.

If the baby is sensitive to any food the food should be eliminated
completely--not just lessened. If the advisor is saying that she can use a
"little" of the other foods, then he doesn't really understand allergies.
Can you imagine someone with a shrimp or peanut allergy saying, "Ill take
just a little of that dish because I have shrimp (or peanut) allergy"?

Dairy foods are the place to begin. Corn is certainly a common allergen as
is wheat but I like to begin with dairy foods because most people who are
allergic to corn and wheat are also allergic to dairy foods. It usually all
begins with the milk products.

I recommend eliminating *all* dairy foods and dairy ingredients as a first
step. If baby's antibiotic use is due to ear infections or strep throat it
is probably the dairy, as those illnesses are usually associated with dairy
foods.

She needs some systematic guidance to find what her little one can eat in
health. If he has been sick for so long he has likely added other allergies
to his primary one of dairy foods. You are right about his abused gut.
