I'm glad I live in a place where short people seem to be the
norm...otherwise my daughter might be similarily treated. My husband
and I are BOTH 5'3". He is a little bit on the short side of "average"
for men (which is more like 5'5-5'6"), and I am just average for women.
My Mother-in-law is about 4'10" and I see many people of that height
around here.
Luckily since the population is all like that, they have a harder time
trying to scare us into thinking we're too short. ;-)
