It is interesting to hear all the varying perspectives on reimbursement.
Of all the things I do, lactation consulting is the one my clients are
MOST likely to get insurance reimbursement for!
I am a Childbirth Educator, Birth Doula, Postpartum Doula and Holistic
Nurse as well as an LC. Seems the insurance companies are afraid of
babies not thriving (FTT is an expensive diagnosis.) With a little bit
of help from the pediatrician, reimbursement for LC services is quite
routine. Now I need to work on PLA and CBE services....
