I have followed the thread and have finally decided to post a brief response.
 Many people disagree with Tony Knox's attitudes and even dispute his facts.

I think the real issue is how much more pleasant and helpful the list is when
we are polite to one another.

Non-breastfeeding increases risk of diabetes, ear infections, cancer and
much, much more.  I am also aware of medical publications which dispute or
de-emphasize some of these severe drawbacks.  Many of us, myself included,
have spent a lot of time during a lot of years reviewing medical literature
and taking care of patients.  We have formed very strong impressions about
the problems with artificial feeding.  It is not "poison" but does create
real and potential problems.  The immutable fact is that every baby who does
not breastfeed exclusively for a significant period of time is less healthy.
