Another question to those with more experience than myself...

How often do you see (or know of) mothers weaning a child early enough they
don't really remember how to nurse (say 12 months) and then letting the
child nurse again 1,2, or 3 years later?  I'm particularly thinking of an
instance, perhaps, when the child sees a younger sibling nursing and wants
to share that closeness with mom.  Is this common in some cultures as a
nurturing style?  Would this be seen as child molestation here in the US (by
the governmental agencies that would take away your child)?

Just curious if this is being done and how you teach the older child to
nurse again.
