Jan Barger wrote a great post about bottle feeding a few years ago. Here is
the link to it in the archives.

you are looking to write a policy or teaching materials, her post is a great
starting point.
It doesn't cover the how-to in terms of amount, frequency etc but that
should mimic breastfeeding. Watch for early cues (especially since it takes
more time to prepare a bottle than initiate a nursing session), small
amounts more frequently, let the baby signal when he is full.

I asked a nursing instructor if I could observe her teaching her students
how to bottle feed and she said she really does not teach this.
I am sorry for the length of this post but I am pleading with this group on
the need to approach this long standing thought process on bottle feeding.
How did this all start? Any ideas to best approach this? PLEASE I need
your
input.
