I have learned a tremendous amount during the great Tony Debate of the Year
2001.

With a twinkle in his eye, Tony Knox has called upon us all to enumerate and
emphasize the uniqueness of breast milk and breastfeeding. If it weren't for
a few misinterpretations of his intent, this would have been a flawless
exercise for us all.

41 pages! Most of them reminding us why we are so passionate about saving
infants from the gross inferiority of artificial feeds. Yes, there were a
few missteps and we all regret the ad hominem attacks which came from a
desire to thwart this prankster as he tweaked us time and again.

When we become complacent and settle into summer doldrums and short "Digests"
I hope that Tony has one more deuce up his sleeve. No more repetition of the
"prove every infant harmed?" rhetoric. No one can actually prove that every
infant not nursed was harmed. I love the evidence to that effect but
challenging "proof" is a pointless exercise. No more sarcastic responses to
humor. Humorous responses to humor and factual responses to questions will
work much better.
