If this already posted today, please forgive me. I "lost" the post this
morning in my computer.
I am working with a corporate lactation program making lactation support
calls all over the US. I would like to know about local resource people
(IBCLC's private and hospital-based) and support groups in the Hartford,
Simsbury, and Southington areas of Connecticut. I think the moms will follow
through with my suggestion that she really needs to see a lactation
consultant if I can direct her to one rather than just telling her to call
the hospital where she delivered. I'd love to know of someone who makes home
visits! (I haven't looked in the ILCA directory yet but I will.)I also like
to suggest support groups. I often encourage LLL meetings.
My area has a local breastfeeding directory with numbers of LC's, support
groups, LLL leaders, pump rental stations, etc. The moms I am calling do not
seem to have access to anything like this. If anyone knows of a resource
list like this for these areas, I would like it.
I am nomail so I would appreciate private responses to [log in to unmask]
Thank you.
