The problem with formula is that it is considered a good second best to
breastmilk.   I got the following piece of infomation from Leaven, the
magazine for LLL leaders.  It sits well with parents!!
Choice of infant feeding according to WHO:
First: Breastfeeding by baby's own mother
Second: Breastmilk from baby's own mother, with an alternative method
Third: Breastmilk from another human donor
Fourth: Formula
Not second best, just a fourth option.
