Not long ago in my area there was a physician who had lost a breast to cancer
and breastfed her TWINS fairly exclusively on the remaining breast for about
four months. The weaning was more because of job demands than ability to
produce sufficient milk according to her. I try to mention her story
casually in breastfeeding classes or to moms who are afraid they will not
have enough milk, she is quite an inspiration.
