I work in a RN telephone triage unit, for the community. The problem I
have run across with shields, that was missing from this list is, when
and how to stop using them. Some of the Moms I have talked with
recently, have no idea how to get off the shield, and get the babe on
the breast--which is, of course, where we want the babe to be. Just a
thought that jumped out at me when I read the posting. I do think it is
an excellent list, and plan to copy it and place it in my file. Thanks,
Sue Kasten, RN, IBCLC
