I have a case of four weeks baby, high bili (10.4, burn with 11.2), and
very slow weight gain (120gr in the first two weeks, 80, 60 in the
others). Current weight is 2,900 gr. The baby is fully breastfeeding since
birth (no soothers, and
water), frequency of about 10 times per 24h (2 periods of cluster
feedings), about 6 bowl movement per day. The baby seems to eat about
15-20 large swallowings and then leave the breast. The mother is trying to
convince her to eat more.
Can the high bili, at this age, be connected to the slow weight gain?
