About 10 years ago when I was doing my clinical internship at a
well-baby clinic, I saw a number of very scary side effects of
Parlodel. At that time, it was given out to so many women - those who
didn't want to bf from the beginning, moms who had "too much milk" or
were engorged - even women who went back to work and wanted to wean.
Although any drug can have side effects, Parlodel seems especially
potent. I've seen women get the shakes, vomit and faint from a drop in
bp. I'll never forget the time that a new mother was rushed to the
hospital straight from the clinic. She actually went into shock. That
put me off Parlodel years before most doctors stopped Rxing it. BTW,
medications are regulated in Israel by the Ministry of Health.
