Oh, Jessica, mazal tov -- may you raise her to learning and the wedding
canopy and a life of good deeds!
My third daughter, Yemima, is about to turn one, and though I had bf each of
the older two (for 12 and 18 mos respectively) she was the first to be born
since I became a full fledged lactation nut of the kind I am now. And yes,
I did feel I learned a ton in her early infancy. It's the difference
between being in a lecture course all day and then suddenly signing up for a
very intensive lab! I got to try out my skills in yeast management,
oversupply management, tongue-thrusting newborn, nipple-blanching, etc etc --
I can laugh now but lets say I was glad to have as much know-how as I do, and
awed by the sticktoitiveness of mothers who get through will less support
than you and I have.
Hope your further course of feeding (and parenting! ) is pleasant and easy-
but still interesting --
Warmly, Elisheva
