Thank you Barbara Wilson-Clay for responding. It is reassuring to me that it
reflects the words I've spoken to this client; perhaps stated a little more
eloquently. I love the way you write and speak! It looks like I've
highlighted the same issues with her. We'll talk today to see how the breast
ultrasound went yesterday. I plan to follow-up with the OB and the midwife
at the office in a professional manner, though, because I feel it was a
missed opportunity for the breast specialists, us LCs to intervene, if solely
for emotional support. I get so frustrated with the health professionals in
the community who forget to utilize us. They've gone to the extent of
distributing my business cards, but we all know how much more effective a
nudging from the provider can encourage a mother to call us.
