Listmates,
I am sorry that one member with (presumably) much to offer in her area
of expertise chose to leave the list because she perceived negative
attitudes in the posts. But as a non-IBCLC with twenty years of experience
in the hospital culture, I believe that most negative posts have a strong
basis in fact. There was nothing that I perceived as offensive in the last
few weeks of posts. I agree that we should take it as a word to the wise,
but I think this list is an excellent resource. Some opinions and attitudes
spice it up occasionally, but I think this group is particularly respectful
of the opinions of others. Most venting arises from very real frustrations.
So, not to diminish our need to be respectful, but do keep up the good work
of helping moms, babies and each other!
